We are regularly asked to help clients with phobias and fears. For some these are new fears, for others they've been part of their life for years.

There are three main types of phobia:

Simple Specific phobias (e.g. fear of spiders, fear of flying)
Social Phobias (e.g. fear of social incompetence or embarrassment)
Agoraphobia – the fear of a difficult or embarrassing situation from which you cannot escape (usually related to panic attacks or very acute anxiety).
