Needle And IV Phobia
We are regularly asked to assist clients suffering from an IV or Needle Phobia. This is a relatively simple thing for us to manage and can be dealt with very swiftly.
Because of our close proximity to Vancouver General Hospital and a number of laboratory facilities we are sometimes asked to attend clients offsite. This is no problem and we are happy to do so.
Below is a clip from a TV series I recently worked on that tackled the issue of needle phobias. The client required a series of blood tests as she was pregnant. She had unfortunately been exposed to a situation in the past that had given her good cause to be anxious when having bllod tests, and we had to overcome some traumatic history.
Her comments afterwards were quite self explanatory:
"I've been telling everyone about the amazing experience I had with hypnotheraphy last week, My husband, who has witnessed my past needle hysteria (shaking and sobbing, hyperventilating, physically defending myself from anyone approaching me with a needle), absolutely couldn't believe when I told him that I had the bloodwork done and felt calm and relaxed.
